THIS is Moravian Falls. A tiny town located in the foothills of the NC Brushy mountains, it consists of nothing more than 5 sq. miles of land and roughly 1,400 people. For the past 12 years I have been reveling in being able to live my independent and carefree single life -- traveling to far and exotic destinations, meeting unforgettable faces and living in some truly fascinating places. And now, as if suddenly (though hardly so) -- I find myself HERE.
In Moravian Falls. Living. And just trying to figure out what to do next.
In the game of life, change is often earmarked by the growing pains
of transition. This blog is about those growing pains, and the process of just figuring it all out. It is
about starting over, in more ways than one. It is about me realizing what matters most -- and trading in one way of life in order to live another. It is about moving to a place I never imagined I'd be.
So I've moved here and I have no idea what is going to happen next. I have no idea where I'll work, or how I'll pay my bills. I have no idea when or where I'll make new friends. It is exciting at first, but it is going to be hard. It is filled with unknowns. This blog is about chronicling this adventure... and the process of change.
Yes, THIS is Moravian Falls. And THIS...is about me learning how to call it home.
